The open-air street-art gallery began to take shape during the festival’s first year. The works share a common theme—Russian cities seen from a train window—but the artists’ techniques and visions are unique. A video featuring stories about works from previous years is available on VKontakte.
At the festival, guests can also try their hand at graffiti by painting an art object shaped like a locomotive. At the art stations, they can make their own key rings and badges. The sports area will feature a balance board and a skateboarding ramp. Visitors will also be able to practice yoga there. The main stage will host DJ sets and lectures on street art.
As Dmitry Golovkin, Director of the Russian Railway Museum, noted:
“This year, we are creating an event that brings together culture and sport, street art and contemporary practices—like different carriages on one train: they all travel together, but each is interesting in its own way. The festival shows that young people sincerely love their country; they simply express it not in familiar words, but through graffiti, unusual art forms, and their own creative ideas. It is important to us that traditions not remain something distant and austere, but sound contemporary, lively, and clear to everyone.”
