The Russian Railway Museum invites visitors to learn about a popular railway profession through the “Young Conductor School” program. The career-guidance sessions will take place as part of the “Professions Festival” at the “Vokzal 1853” space from October 31 to November 2, 2025.

Participants will explore the origins of the train-conductor profession. They will learn who accompanied passengers on their journeys when conductors served instead of modern attendants; which badges identified the “master” of a railcar; and why railcars were light and warm before electricity existed. All the children will complete challenges and try their hand at being a passenger-car conductor, as well as take part in a competition for the principal professional document—the “Passport of Trust.”

At the end of the program, the presenters will invite the children to a workshop. Participants can look forward to entertaining railway games, tasks, and contests.

The Russian Railway Museum’s interactive program begins every hour from noon to 7:00 p.m., with a break from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Each session lasts 50 minutes. Each session can accommodate 10 to 18 children aged 3–8. Address: 118S Obvodny Canal Embankment, St. Petersburg, Vokzal 1853 space.

Admission is free.
