The Russian Railway Museum invites visitors to take part in its traditional blood donation drive
On Monday, June 15, 2026, from 10:00 to 12:00, the Russian Railway Museum invites visitors to take part in its traditional “Donor Day” drive and donate blood in the museum exhibition. The drive is held jointly with the St. Petersburg City Blood Transfusion Station.
On Monday, June 15, 2026, from 10:00 to 12:00, the Russian Railway Museum invites visitors to take part in its traditional “Donor Day” drive and donate blood in the museum exhibition. The drive is held jointly with the St. Petersburg City Blood Transfusion Station.
Anyone can take part. Requirements: age over 18, no health contraindications, and advance registration for the event through Timepad. Participants must bring their SNILS and passport. A doctor’s consultation is provided at the museum before the procedure.
You should eat breakfast in the morning. For three days before donating blood, avoid medicines containing aspirin and analgesics; for two days, avoid alcohol; and for one hour, avoid cigarettes and tobacco. On the day before donating blood, do not eat fatty, fried, spicy, or smoked foods, sausage products, meat, fish, or dairy products, eggs or butter, chocolate, nuts or dates, avocado, beetroot, or bananas.
All donors can visit the Russian Railway Museum free of charge on June 15. Everyone will receive souvenirs and a certificate for a museum visit. Hot tea and sweets will be offered after the procedure.
People holding the titles “Honorary Donor of St. Petersburg,” “Honorary Donor of Russia,” and “Honorary Donor of the USSR” can always visit the Russian Railway Museum free of charge.
