The museum will present the career-guidance program “Attention, attention! The train is departing!” about the profession of station master.
Participants will learn how the profession originated, what character traits a station master should have, answer quiz questions, and receive a commemorative souvenir. A special module will help introduce them to the profession: a wooden cube taller than a person, containing fascinating tasks and themed objects. The children will try on a station master’s uniform and learn about the principles of how a classification yard works through play.
Young guests will also enjoy railway-themed games, workshops, and competitions, as well as the opportunity to take stylish photographs and win prizes.
“The world of railways is enormous, and it includes many different professions. In our career-guidance session, we will show the important work of a station master. Learning about it in an interactive and engaging format will help children think about their future and perhaps connect it with the railway industry,” says Vladimir Odintsov, Director of the Russian Railway Museum.
The career festival for schoolchildren and preschoolers will take place at Vokzal 1853 from March 28 to April 5, 2026. Children will learn about different professions under the guidance of specialists from a wide range of fields.
