On Monday, December 15, 2025, the Russian Railway Museum hosted a ceremonial event announcing the results of the creative competition “Pavlovsk Music Station Through My Eyes.”

The competition was organized by Russian Railways and the Pavlovsk State Museum-Reserve to mark the 187th anniversary of Pavlovsk Music Station. More than 70 children and teenagers from St. Petersburg, the Leningrad Region, Moscow, and Saratov took part. Twenty-three young artists became winners.

The awards ceremony was attended by Maxim Lunyov, Head of the Russian Railways Corporate Communications Department; Oleg Ushakov, First Deputy Director of the Pavlovsk State Museum-Reserve; and Dmitry Golovkin, First Deputy Director of the Russian Railway Museum. State Duma deputy and competition jury member Nadezhda Shkolkina addressed the participants with welcoming remarks.

Pavlovsk Music Station was the terminus of Russia’s first Tsarskoye Selo Railway. It was Russia’s first concert hall, where the era’s finest musicians and performers appeared before the general public and leading cultural figures attended concerts. The music station in Pavlovsk opened in May 1838 and was destroyed during the Great Patriotic War. Since 2023, a council has been working on a project to restore the Music Station.

The Russian Railway Museum features a “Pavlovsk Music Station” installation consisting of an architectural model, a film, and a VR zone.
