Steam locomotive L
<space=1em>Initially, the L series steam locomotive had the P series - "Victory". Since 1947, the locomotives were designated with the L series, in honor of the chief designer L. S. Lebedyansky.
<space=1em>The steam locomotive was designed at the Kolomensky Plant in 1945, and was also produced at the Bryansk and Voroshilovgrad plants until 1955 inclusive. A total of 4,200 machines were built by the three plants.
