<space=1em><b>To order for the USSR</b>
<space=1em>From 1974 to <nobr>1976</nobr> the Czechoslovakian Skoda plant mass-produced single-section six-axle DC electric locomotives ChS2T to order from the USSR.
<space=1em>The designation of the fundamentally new series of machines was decoded as "Czechoslovak production, type 2, equipped with a rheostatic brake". People nicknamed it the Iron, the Tower, the Brick and the Teremok for its unusual appearance.
<space=1em><b>Main line</b>
<space=1em>The first batch of ChS2T received the factory designation 63E<sub>1</sub> <nobr>(945–1024),</nobr> <nobr>the second —</nobr> 63E<sub>2</sub> <nobr>(1025–1062).</nobr> The series was supplied only to the October Railway —</nobr> the main line in the country.
<space=1em>At the end of <nobr>1972</nobr> the USSR received experimental models <nobr>ChS2T No. 875</nobr> and 876 of type 63E<sub>0</sub>. They had rheostatic braking, spotlights above the windshields and in the middle of the end wall under them. The 63E<sub>0</sub> was equipped with more powerful traction electric motors <nobr>AL-4846dT</nobr>. The machine's power was <nobr>4,620 kW.</nobr>
<space=1em><b>Base locomotive</b>
<space=1em>A total of <nobr>118 electric locomotives</nobr> of the ChS2T series <nobr>(945–1062)</nobr> arrived on Soviet railways. They arrived in equal batches at the Moscow-Oktyabrskaya and Leningrad-Passazhirsky-Moskovsky depots and were assigned to them until <nobr>2001</nobr>.
<space=1em>The ChS2T became the base locomotive for pulling express trains on the October Railway, hauling up to <nobr>22 cars</nobr>. In addition, it maintained a seven-hour schedule between the capitals, but with no more than <nobr>16 cars</nobr> in the train.
<space=1em><b>Millions of kilometers</b>
<space=1em>The museum presents the electric locomotive <nobr>ChS2T 945</nobr> <nobr>1974</nobr> This series worked for many years in the Leningrad-Passazhirsky-Moskovsky, Moscow-Oktyabrskaya and Murmansk depots. <nobr>ChS2T 945 is a veteran of the October Railway. Its mileage is more than <nobr>6 million km.</nobr> <nobr>ЧС2Т 945 —</nobr> is an entire era of Soviet railways.
<space=1em<nobr>ЧС2Т 945</nobr> was the calling card of the October Railway, because it drove the legendary trains "Nevsky Express" and "Aurora", and it served "Red Arrow" for <nobr>30 years</nobr> of its <nobr>90-year</nobr> history.
