The Russian Railway Museum is a recipient of the Golden Diploma of the Golden Trezzini Awards 2025

Announcements

The Russian Railway Museum received the Golden Diploma of the Golden Trezzini Awards 2025 in the category “Best Completed Project of a Temporary or Permanent Museum Exhibition” for its street-art gallery on the theme “Russian Cities from a Train Window.”

The street-art gallery currently consists of 18 works created during the 2023–2024 “Movement Permitted” street-culture festivals. The works span different styles but are united by a single theme: Russian cities seen from a train window.

“The award’s Golden Diploma is important recognition for us. It demonstrates visitors’ interest in a project that is unusual for a corporate museum and inspires us to continue developing the street-art gallery,” said Vladimir Odintsov, Director of the Russian Railway Museum.

The “Movement Permitted” street-culture festival was created by the Russian Railway Museum together with the PUBLICART creative agency.

The international Golden Trezzini Architecture and Design Award was founded in 2018. Its purpose is to recognize the most artistically valuable projects in architecture, design, restoration, scenography, and museum work. In 2023, the museum won the Audience Award for its monument to M. I. Khilkov in the Gatchina Courtyard in front of the museum entrance. In 2024, the Audience Award recognized a series of exhibitions in the interiors of historic railway cars.
