The Russian Railway Museum invites visitors to take part in the “Drawing at the Russian Railway Museum” campaign

On Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 10:00 to 18:00, everyone who enjoys drawing is invited to take part in the “Drawing at the Russian Railway Museum” campaign.

On this day, anyone can come to the plein air session without additional approval. Participants should bring drawing materials, paper, and a drawing board. If paints are to be used, bring an oilcloth. The museum provides chairs.

To take part in the plein air session, simply email pr@rzd-museum.ru with the subject “I want to attend the plein air session.” Participation is with a museum admission ticket. Participants must follow the museum’s visitor rules and set up in places that do not obstruct tour groups.

“The Russian Railway Museum houses one of Europe’s largest collections of rolling stock—more than 120 steam locomotives, freight and passenger locomotives, carriages from different years, and various railway equipment; the exhibition is complemented by sculpture. Artists love creating within our walls, and we are happy to invite them to visit,” said Vladimir Odintsov, Director of the Russian Railway Museum.
