The multifaceted culture of our country will come alive at the Russian Railway Museum. The “People. Rails. Expanses” program will last throughout the night and, like a railway, reach the farthest corners of Russia. Meetings, moments of joy, and minutes of waiting—scenes from travelers’ lives—will be created by an artist in real time and projected onto museum exhibits.
A family quest game, running until midnight, will show how railways connected regions and helped preserve cultural traditions. Visitors will be able to taste the real Russia, from Siberian delicacies to Karelian treats, and take a gastronomic journey in the museum café.
Music from the peoples of Russia in modern arrangements will sound throughout the night: familiar folk melodies will take on new colors as they blend harmoniously with current musical trends. Photo zones with a national character will help capture moments of the night among ornaments, vivid costumes, and household objects from different ethnic groups.
“Railways unite dozens of peoples and thousands of destinies. More than 6,000 people attended our program in 2025, and this inspired us to make the 2026 ‘People. Rails. Expanses’ program even larger. As they travel through the museum, guests will see the full diversity of Russia’s living culture. New art will also be born before their eyes: the artistic presentation will unite modern technologies and historic locomotives,” said Vladimir Odintsov, Director of the Russian Railway Museum.
The “People. Rails. Expanses” program begins at 18:00, 18:15, 18:30, and 18:45, and then every half hour from 19:00 through 04:30. Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes.
Tickets are already on sale on the Museum Night website.
