The Russian Railway Museum invites visitors to take part in an HIV/AIDS awareness campaign

Partnerships

To conclude a month of events dedicated to World AIDS Day, the Russian Railway Museum will host an educational campaign on December 8, 2025.

From noon to 6:00 p.m., anyone interested can receive a free, anonymous rapid HIV test at the mobile unit in front of the Russian Railway Museum. Everyone who takes the test will be able to visit the museum free of charge that day. At 3:30 p.m. in the museum’s conference hall, a medical psychologist from the St. Petersburg AIDS Center will speak about modern methods of HIV detection and prevention, the situation with the virus in the country, and living with the condition. The lecture is free; registration through Timepad is required.

“We invite everyone to the fifth-anniversary campaign marking World AIDS Day. Railways have been at the forefront of many socially significant processes, including the prompt provision of medical assistance and health education. We are continuing this important tradition and invite everyone who is interested to join us,” said Vladimir Odintsov, Director of the Russian Railway Museum.

“We are glad to hold this important campaign for the fifth time, bringing together education and culture. Knowing your HIV status is an act of caring for yourself and your future. We urge everyone to take this opportunity—it is quick, free, and anonymous,” commented Tatiana Nikolaevna Vinogradova, Chief Physician of the St. Petersburg AIDS Center, Candidate of Medical Sciences.
